Otoplasty
The prominent ear deformity is the condition in which the auricle is curved forward, contrary to the normal anatomical position. Prominent ears is a common problem that can be the source of significant psychosocial, emotional or behavioral problems in children. It is the most common congenital ear deformity. Otoplasty are safe procedures. Since only the outer part of the ear is intervened in prominent ear aesthetics, it does not cause a problem with hearing.
There are three anatomical disorders that cause prominent ear appearance: Underdevelopment of the ear fold, The bucket pit is deep, Auricular detachment from the head. Each of these three disorders may be of different severity in each patient. Treatment is aimed at correcting these disorders.
